AmysAmy's sleeps 4 adults, with the third bedroom being a child's room. It offers an ideal base for a holiday, being only 150 metres from the beach at Ballyholme, on the southern side of Belfast Lough, from where there are wonderful views across the Lough and, weather permitting, as far as the Mull of Kintyre.

Watch the sailing boats and windsurfers in the bay; wander the coastal walks towards Bangor, or Groomsport Harbour, from where you can often see the seabirds diving for fish, or take off by car to explore the wonderful scenery of Northern Ireland.

The Esplanade Bar and Restaurant lies between the house and the beach and Ballyholme village, which has a supermarket, bakery, post office, chemist, off licence, dry cleaners, excellent local butcher, hairdresser, ATM, two cafes, a Bistro and a Chinese takeaway, is a 5 minute walk away.

Bangor town centre is a 15 minute walk, or 20 minutes along the scenic seafront road (Seacliffe Road).

The accommodation has been finished to a high standard and offers all modern comforts, with gas central heating, direct hot water and double glazing throughout. The ground floor rooms have solid wood floors and the stairs, landing and adult bedrooms have carpets.

Beautiful house. Very comfortable and a real home from home. A great base for visiting Belfast, the Titanic Museum and the Giant's Causeway. Handy for everything. Thanks.
McNamees. 15 - 22 Jul 15

Lovely holiday, thank you! Helped by beautiful weather and a lovely house to come back to.
Browns. 22 - 29 Aug 15

We had a wonderful week at Amy's, catching up with old friends and walking every day on the beach. We saw some beautiful sunsets and really miss those long evenings. We loved the house and the proximity to the beach and to all the facilities. The week passed only too quickly and we felt so much at home. We can highly recommend a new restaurant next to the Co-op called "The Pearl", it serves excellent food with very attentive service. Here's hoping we can look forward to another week at Amy's in the future!

We had a lovely stay thank you. Only wish we could have stayed longer! The cottage was fantastic, very well equipped and in a great location. The beds were all super comfy too. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to return in the future."

“We had a wonderful time at Amy's, thanks. It is a beautiful cottage and we hope to visit it again in the future. We have stayed in many cottages and it is one of the best we have stayed in. You and your wife have done a fantastic job in doing it up.”

Excellent: review by normc

Great combination of convenience (easy walking distance to shops) and beach access. I highly recommend the walk along the coastal path from Ballyholme Beach to Groomsport. House has had a complete first class renovation. We had a lunch on the back patio. Easy access to the Ring Road. Highly recommend.
