Yew Wood Cottage is graded as a 5* by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. It is beautifully furnished and sleeps six people comfortably. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of room for sports equipment. The floors are heated for extra comfort. There is a large patio area with barbeque, perfect for those long summer evenings and taking in those panaromic views.
The area is popular for hill walking and scenic drives. The ancient monument Kilsnasaggart Stone is in nearby Jonesborough and Moyry Castle, Jonesborough, are well worth a visit. There are many golf courses around within easy distance, there is fishing at Camlough Lake and walking trails at Slieve Gullion forestry. The Welcome Inn in nearby Forkhill provides a friendly bar where you will receive a real Irish welcome and lively atmosphere and hear traditional Irish music every Tuesday evening and popular live bands every Saturday and Sunday. Murphy’s Pub is also nearby where you can wine and dine in a majestic ambience with the finest cuisine. Assistance:
The cottage can be seen straight ahead. Follow the lane all the way to the top and that is the cottage. Hold the left button on your mouse and drag to view from different angles. To move along the road either click the arrows on the road or choose a spot further along the road and left click your mouse once to advance! (If you don't move your mouse far enough away you will see a magnifying glass in your circle, move a bit further and it disappears. Click and advance! If you find yourself activating the magnifying glass simply right click and zoom out.)
You will have noticed a small window to the bottom right with a little yellow man in the centre. What you are seeing in the main window is the view through his eyes. This window can be enlarged by clicking the arrow in the top left corner. Use the '+' and '-' to zoom in/out. You can also drag the yellow man to e.g. the nearest town and have a quick tour before you arrive! Of course the blue icon represents the location of the cottage.
Have fun and we hope you enjoy your holiday ...
