The waters
edge is a short stroll down the road and
walkers can walk for miles along the coastal
path to Belfast or even Donaghadee in the
other direction. From the waters edge there
are expansive views over Belfast Lough
across to Greenisland and Carrickfergus.
Crawfordsburn
Country Park is on your doorstep and caters
for all walking tastes - from woodland,
meadowland to coastal walks. Bring your
picnic or visit the information centre for a
spot of lunch.
You will also
have to visit Crawfordsburn Old Inn a short
distance away which probably serves the best
food in the county.
These are just
the have-to-do's in your immediate area. We
have not even mentioned Bangor which almost
swallows Helen's Bay in its embrace. From
what is considered as one of Ireland's
largest marinas to shops and places to eat,
you will be hard pressed to find reasons to
go further afield.
